The Excavate series is a collection of games currently available for purchase at https://dig-itgames.com/ Targeted towards elementary and middle school social studies, Excavate teaches children about ancient cultures and the artifacts they left behind. In understanding the archaeological process of excavating artifacts, students are able to categorize different types of artifacts and what they were used for. In doing so they gain a better understanding of cultures that came before us and what they knowledge they still have to pass on.
